Careers for life - career guidance in the care sector

The project aims to interest pupils from year 8/9 onwards in training and working in education or care and to encourage them to take a closer look at the tasks and requirements, opportunities and prospects in these training occupations.

On the one hand, this is done through cooperation between companies and schools, in which the activities of experts from the field are brought into the classroom and tested and discussed together with the pupils. On the other hand, young people can visit local care/healthcare facilities and day-care centers, talk to company representatives and try out practical activities.

In addition, young trainees are trained as training ambassadors to talk to pupils about their training and motivation. This exchange is intended to reduce young people's reservations about the care and education professions and increase the attractiveness of employers, particularly small and medium-sized healthcare facilities and daycare centers.
