Accounting for more than one-fifth of the state’s economic output, the Hanover economic region is the key driver of innovation and growth in Lower Saxony. Ensuring Medications Reach Premature Infants: InhalPlus Receives 500,000 Euro Investment
For premature infants who require respiratory support, only a small portion of an inhaled medication often reaches the lungs. The Hanover-based startup InhalPlus has developed a system designed to change exactly that and has secured its first external investor: NBank Capital, the investment arm of the state-owned development bank NBank, is investing 500,000 euros in InhalPlus GmbH. InhalPlus received support from hannoverimpuls early on in its journey. The startup was one of the first teams to participate in the Future Health Lab, an innovation program designed to specifically support startups and new ideas in the development and market launch of new healthcare solutions.

The supply of commercial real estate in the Hanover Region has risen for the second consecutive year—from 651 hectares in 2024 to 682 hectares in 2025. Over the past ten years, however, the total supply has fallen by 20 percent. This is shown by the Hanover Region’s latest Commercial Real Estate Monitoring report.
