Modern agriculture

The protection and sustainable use of soil, water and air resources are the major challenges facing agriculture against the backdrop of nutrition, climate change and the preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity. Digitalization creates potential solutions here.

Many digital technologies, such as milking robots, GPS-controlled agricultural machinery, herd management systems or the use of drones and field robots, have already found their way into modern agriculture or are being developed at and with the colleges and universities in Hanover.

Identifying and supporting such ideas and new technological solutions from the scientific field and implementing them with suitable partners from companies or in the form of a start-up is the approach pursued by hannoverimpuls in the field of modern farming.
