Ricklingen
Unity in diversity
As the third largest district in Hanover, Ricklingen has a lot to offer with its five districts of Bornum, Mühlenberg, Oberricklingen, Ricklingen and Wettbergen covering an area of 14.72 km² and with around 46,000 inhabitants.
Cultural diversity is expressed in a large number of businesses with a wide variety of target groups and equally diverse social offerings. Social commitment and integration are two areas that are also decided upon and promoted in an exemplary manner by the Integration Advisory Board.
In addition to the weekly markets and many district festivals, this district has been considered a solid industrial location at least since the invention of color television in 1963 at Telefunken on Ricklinger Kreisel, with the industrial park and wholesale market to the east.
