MARCLEY secures six-figure pre-seed round

With its new service, the company enables apartment owners of apartment buildings to have a solar solution on their own roof without any investment or expense. Residents benefit from green electricity that is even cheaper than the regional basic supplier.

"This funding will allow us to accelerate our development and supply the roofs of multi-family buildings with solar systems more quickly, enabling them to reduce their annual electricity costs by several thousand euros," says Friedrich Grimm, co-founder of Marcley.

Marcley has set itself the goal of making green energy available to everyone. This includes tenants and homeowner communities who have limited or no opportunities to participate in the market. With this financing round, the company is well positioned to realize its vision and continue to grow.

"We understand the specific challenges of multi-family buildings and use our expertise to create sustainable energy solutions. With our support, apartment buildings can make a significant contribution to the energy transition and at the same time benefit from the economic advantages of solar energy," adds Florian Schulte, co-founder of MARCLEY.

The financing round is led by venture capitalists such as Hannover Beteiligungsfonds (HBF), managed by the experienced early-stage investor EnjoyVenture, and Climate Founders, and also includes investments from private investors from the industry, including Robin Kroll (Imogent), Michael Suer (Renewa) and Carsten Gropp (Four Management).

"With Marcley, we are adding another exciting greentech start-up to our portfolio. Investments in as many innovative

technologies are an essential part of a successful energy transition," says Reinhard Hinrichs, Managing Director of Hannover Beteiligungsfonds GmbH, explaining the decision.
