Training for the future
In the dynamic landscape of securing skilled workers, the Hannover Region's employment promotion program undertakes an exciting journey of discovery every year with its "Attractive Employers" workshop series.
The aim is to work with companies from the region to explore innovative ways of not only attracting skilled workers, but also retaining them in the long term. In March 2023, we intensified this exploratory process together with a large number of trainees and trainers in order to investigate the central question: "What will the training of the future look like?"
With a creative and empathetic approach, we took up the challenge of developing concrete solutions together. Using proven methods such as Design Thinking and World Café, we were able to enter into a productive dialog on the topic in two consecutive workshops and generate innovative ideas together. This collaborative atmosphere enabled us to work on our mindset, engage with best practice examples and gain valuable insights.
The results of this collaborative effort are recorded in our workshop handout, which has been visualized with clear sketchnotes. In addition, we offer an insight into the methods used and provide ideas on how these approaches can inspire the development of future training concepts.
Our handout invites you to be part of this inspiring journey. Discover with us how the Hannover Region is tackling the challenges of recruiting and retaining skilled workers and what innovative solutions are emerging. Join us on the path to sustainable training that meets the needs of companies as well as the expectations of future generations in the world of work.
