Lower Saxony initiative for the information and communications industry

Like the Hannover Region,Lower Saxonyas an ICT locationisfacing the challenges of the future. Companies need to be strengthened in order to secure jobs and create new ones.

Pooling the strengths of the individual, regional ICT industry across Lower Saxony and thus positioning the state as a strong ICT location - these are the goals of the Lower Saxony initiative for the information and communications industry, "ikn2020 - Digital Lower Saxony".
In this initiative, which is funded by the state of Lower Saxony, the eight main ICT regions in Lower Saxony - Braunschweig, Emsland, Göttingen, Hanover, Hildesheim, Lüneburg, Oldenburg and Osnabrück - have joined forces in a network to jointly tap into growth potential and increase the innovative capacity and image of Lower Saxony as an ICT location.

Organization

ikn2020 is managed by a steering committee in which the eight regions are represented. The three ikn2020 offices in Hanover, Oldenburg and Osnabrück initiate, organize and coordinate topics and activities and carry out central tasks of the steering committee.
The ikn2020 office in Hanover is located at hannoverimpuls and isheadedby DiethelmHeinen.
