Fachkräfteallianz Hannover celebrates ten years of cooperation
How time flies... The Skilled Workers Alliance Hannover is celebrating its tenth anniversary. For ten years, eleven partner organizations from the Hannover Region have been working together to combat the shortage of skilled workers and ensure the future viability of companies.
The alliance, consisting of 11 partner organizations from the Hanover Employment Agency to the state capital of Hanover, has achieved significant successes during this period and launched numerous projects to strengthen the supply of skilled workers in the region. The joint alliance has set itself the task of countering the shortage of skilled workers in the Hannover Region. The strategy: through overarching cooperation between the most important players, solutions are created that not only help companies, but also secure the future viability of the entire region. Members of the broad-based alliance are the Hannover Region, the City of Hannover, the Federal Employment Agency, the Hannover Region Job Center, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, the German Trade Union Federation, the General Employers' Association of Hannover, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and hannoverimpuls.

- Strengthening the culture of further training and participation in further training in companies and among employees and the unemployed
- Improving the welcomingculture and framework conditions for immigrant skilled workers
- Strengthening cooperationbetween the university and regional stakeholders todevelop and retain skilled workers
- Overarching: strengthening participationin the labor market, good working conditions, diversity and equal opportunities in the labor market
The Skilled Workers Alliance Hannover can look back on an impressive track record: Over the last ten years, 21 projects have been funded in the Hannover Region as part of the ESF guideline "Supporting Regional Skilled Workforce Alliances". With a funding sum of 3.5 million euros from the EU and the state of Lower Saxony as well as a co-financing pot of 350,000 euros per year from the Hannover Region, important initiatives have been made possible that would not have been possible without this financial support.
In addition, the Fachkräfteallianz Hannover has initiated three projects with a nationwide reach that have attracted and retained skilled workers for the Hannover Region: The "Adelante" project for Spanish skilled workers, the "IT macht Schule" project to promote young IT talent and the "Robonatives" robotics project for young talent.
