Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode
Future with history
The three districts that give the district its name can look back on a long, mostly village-like history. At the same time, the numerous new development areas and the densely populated city center enable companies in the manufacturing sector in particular to establish themselves on the outskirts of the city and in the neighboring areas.
Kirchrode is also known beyond the district boundaries for a number of healthcare facilities, including the State Dementia Education Center, the Vizenz Hospital and the University of Veterinary Medicine.
With around 33,000 residents and a total area of over 23 km², the future is at home in the sixth city district - above all thanks to the Kronsberg estate. After all, the new development area developed as part of EXPO 2000 is a unique project in Germany and its success is representative of the district.
