With a view to the introduction of computer science as a compulsory subject at schools in Lower Saxony from 2023/2024, Project Rita(RobotIntelligentTechnicalApplication) was launched by students at theRobertaRegioZentrum Hannover: A teaching and learning concept that introduces robotics in a playful way and raises awareness of various professional fields in which robots play a role.

In this context, a first prototypeof the project Rita: Smart Future and AI was created, which combines the future topics of robotics/AI and sustainability.

With the funding of the project until the end of 2023, the project is to be further developed to school readiness and anchored in schools in the Hannover region through taster offers and teacher workshops, among other things.

In this way, the project supplements the range of services offered by RoboticsCity Hannover, which has been growing steadily since 2013, withhighly topical issues and creates a direct link between the two focal points of robotics and the green economy, so that young talent can be sensitized to both topics and their interrelationships at an early stage.
