Part 1: Why do we need "diversity"?

An introduction to the seven dimensions of diversity & the necessity of diversity management in modern companies.

In an increasingly globalized and diverse world, it is essential that companies align their work environments, processes and leadership cultures with the importance of diversity. The first workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the seven dimensions of diversity (gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, educational background and cultural background), uses current data to demonstrate the need for diversity management in modern, future-oriented companies and how companies can benefit from an inclusive and diversity-oriented culture.

Part 2: Prejudices and stereotypes

Unconcious Bias - Identify, recognize and reflect on unconscious biases for a better and open corporate culture.

Prejudices and stereotypes are deeply rooted in our thought patterns and can unconsciously influence our decisions and interactions. In a modern and inclusive work environment, it is crucial to become aware of the impact of unconscious bias. In the second part of the workshop series, we will identify our own unconscious biases, question the underlying thought patterns and develop suitable measures to promote an open and inclusive corporate culture and thereby create a positive and productive working environment.

Part 3: Organizational development & phases of action in diversity management

Which goals should be set and which organizational development topics should be considered?

An overview of the necessary development steps and possible areas of tension.

In this part of the workshop series, we will look at the different phases of organizational development in the context of diversity management. We will look at the objectives of each phase, such as promoting diversity and inclusion, building a diversity-oriented leadership culture, creating fair and transparent HR processes and developing intercultural competencies.

The workshop also focuses on identifying potential areas of tension and their challenges, such as dealing with resistance to change, overcoming conflicts and prejudices, establishing communication structures, reducing discrimination and ultimately promoting an appreciative corporate culture.

Part 4: Employees in focus

How do I attract new employees? How can I retain employees in the long term and what key legal requirements do I need to consider?

Attracting talented employees and retaining them in the long term are critical factors for the success of an organization. The fourth part of the workshop series provides a comprehensive overview of best practices for attracting new employees and creating an inclusive work environment that promotes long-term retention and employee wellbeing.

In addition, the central legal requirements in the context of diversity management, in particular with regard to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the European Union's Equality Directives, are dealt with.
