Robotics is a topic that is very much on the agenda in the Hannover Region. At this year's IdeenExpo from July 2 to 10, 2022, visitors will have the opportunity to see for themselves - and really get to grips with it.

Following the launch of Robotics City Hannover in May, the Hannover Region and the Hannover Chamber of Industry and Commerce will be showcasing what they have to offer in the field of promoting young robotics talent at the joint stand (Hall 9, Stand PK-08) together with strong partners from the Robotics City network.

Participating partners of theHanoverregionand the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce are

  • the Roberta RegioZentrum Hannover, sponsored by Robospace gGmbH,
  • the robot factory at Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH),
  • the LUHbots, the LUH student team and
  • the Robokind Foundation.

At the big "Robotics City Rally" at the Hannover Region and Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce stand, participants run through the various stations.

At each station there are puzzles to solve relating to the professional world of robotics. It's worth taking part, because up to15 Bluetooth boxeswill beraffled offamong the participants every day.

A new prestige project from theRobertaRegioCenter, which will be presented to the general public for the first time at the IdeenExpo.

"Project rita" is an innovative teaching/learning concept for pupils and teachers. It consists of a basic robot set(Robo-Soccer), which can be expanded with additional robot kits (medicine and environment/sustainability). The sets can be tried out at various stations.

Specifically: a soccer duel againsta robot or a human player. There is also the opportunity toprint outyour own mini cell phone holderson the 3D printeror make individual jewelry with the laser cutter.

As an integral part of theroboterfabrik, theLUHbots student teamfrom Leibniz Universität Hannover will be demonstrating how they develop, build and program autonomous robot systems themselves. Among other things, interested visitors can see a mobile robot that helps tidy up their own room.

With its exhibit from the field of medical robotics, theRobokindFoundationwillshowhow teeth can be cleaned with the help of a robot. In addition, visitors can learn how to program a robot arm independently in workshops on July 4 and 8.

Vocational schools in the Hannover Region

The BBSs in the Hannover Region are also represented and showcase their offerings. In the "ClubZukunft", five vocational schools in the Hannover Region will be providing information about training opportunities in the STEM subjects. Topics include robotics, cybersecurity and 3D printing. BBSme, BBS Burgdorf and BBS Neustadt am Rübenberge are also represented with separate stands.

Social Innovation Center

The Social Innovation Center (Hall 7 "Digital Worlds") is also represented at the IdeenExpo. The aim here is to support young founders with social and innovative business ideas.

The innovativeteaching and learning concept "Project rita"aims to bring a playful approach to robotics to schools. It aims to combine fun and games with elements of career guidance in the fields of medicine and sustainability. Regional PresidentSteffen Krach and IHK Managing Director Maike Bielfeldwill see thisfor themselves.
