Since the Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG) came into force in November 2023, companies with an average annual total final energy consumption of more than 7.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) in the last three calendar years are obliged to introduce an energy management system (EnMS) or environmental management system (EMS) (Section 8 EnEfG). Companies that are not yet obliged to introduce an EnMS or EMS should also consider doing so - they still benefit from the "first mover advantage".
This online event will present operational energy management in accordance with ISO 50001 and show how it can be used to reduce energy consumption and make optimum use of efficiency potential.
The Hannover Region Economic Development Agency is the local cooperation partner for the event. The event is organized by the Climate Protection and Energy Agency (KEAN).
