neu/wagen Workshop "Mistakes as sparks: the art of positive error culture in times of change"

"If you don't do anything, you can't make mistakes..."

When mistakes happen, the first question that is often asked is who is to blame. A small faux pas, which can happen to anyone, is followed by the fear of serious consequences, loss of reputation, followed by the fear of openly addressing the mistake - remorse can set in. Of course, mistakes can have serious consequences, especially in the world of work. Nevertheless, a healthy and positive error culture is often crucial for the success of the company.

According to IW Report 56/2023 "Further training needs of the automotive industry during transformation", over 70% of companies in the automotive industry state that they are affected by transformation processes. Particularly when a company is in the midst of a transformation process, employees will only be courageous and strong if possible mistakes, stumbles or even failure are accepted as companions along the way. Otherwise, there is a great risk that at some point there will be no initiative and motivation left for innovation and change.

It was precisely these voices that we heard from the companies and decided to take a closer look. And because there are people who have been working intensively on this topic for some time, we are not doing it alone.

We are delighted to have Andreas Gebhardt as our keynote speaker (his approach:https://andreasgebhardt.de/ueber-andreas-gebhardt/). With his many years of experience as a speaker, author and juggler, he brings a breath of fresh air and entertainment to what is often such an uncomfortable topic. In a best-practice example, Anke Freund reports on the specific measures she has introduced in her joinery to establish a positive error culture in her company.
