This is to become an innovative and modern center for mechanical engineering and its diverse application technologies and complement the existing infrastructure. With a gross floor area of around 62,000 square meters, the new site will promote technological and industrial excellence, provide access to highly qualified specialists and offer an attractive network and modern infrastructure in a creative environment.

"I am delighted that we have been able to gain a partner in the asto Group that has a great deal of expertise in this area. The mechanical engineering campus in Garbsen is an important driver of innovation for the Hanover region, which strengthens the business and science location here."

The asto Group impressed with its concept in the regular bidding process and was ultimately awarded the contract for the project. With six building units, an optimal infrastructure for scientific work will be created in Garbsen in the future, including usable space for production, research & development, a technology center with a makerspace, administration and student accommodation.

The core target group for its use are companies, start-ups that can found and develop their business on the ONE Tech Campus and students who can solve entrepreneurial problems in teams here, for example.

"The collaboration with the ASTO Group was very professional and focused right from the start. I am confident that we will build a real beacon for the Hanover economic region at the Garbsen campus."
Head of Economic Affairs Ulf-Birger Franz
