Successful company succession Pflegedient Monika Jansen GmbH
Five years ago, the owner of the care service of the same name, Monika Jansen, approached Thomas Löhr from the Hanover region's business development department to initiate a successful business transfer.
First of all, central questions such as the optimal company structure for the sale, possible buyer groups, expectations of the prospective buyers and the approximate sales price to be expected were clarified.
The possibilities for a succession plan from within the workforce were also examined. One year before the planned handover date, advertisements were placed on our platformwww.RFolg.comgeschaltet.
The purchase interests were sorted according to the seller's previously agreed expectations, which also meant, for example, that pure investors were out of the question. The desire to find a successor to the company who would be on site and continue to run the care service professionally and commercially was clear.
In the further process, talks were then held with potential interested parties.
"At first, I didn't believe that the buyers Waldemar Baumgärtner (34) and Roman Artes (34) would really move from Augsburg to Wennigsen. But they were so committed and absolutely fitted the search profile both personally and professionally that we really wanted to get to know them,"says company succession consultant Thomas Löhr.
In the subsequent discussions, Ms. Jansen was particularly impressed by their sustained interest and continued willingness to talk.
"It was not difficult for us to pursue the plan and make an advance payment because Mr. Löhr always presented the criteria, the number of competitors and the next process steps clearly and transparently,"says Waldemar Baumgärtner. "We had a very good feeling the whole time and all the strengths and weaknesses of the company were openly explained," adds Roman Artes.
The two new owners have taken over the active management of the business as of 01.06.2021 in the roles of caregiver and office manager. Otherwise, the structures and processes in the company will remain the same. This includes the nursing service manager Melanie Behr.
Monika Jansen also knows that the topic of "care" is under constant scrutiny and that there are always new ideas and requirements.
"My successors are ideally suited for this because they are more open to the digitalization trend than I am," says Monika Jansen.
"This is the only way to keep the unfortunately ever-increasing bureaucratic effort within reasonable limits," adds Waldemar Baumgärtner.
"It's great that we have found a well-functioning and well-trained team of employees here. It makes work really fun," says Roman Artes.
