Anyone who stores online may have already experienced this: you want to buy something, but it doesn't work. The shopping cart hangs or the order cannot be sent. To prevent this from happening, the software should be checked for errors beforehand. This is where Baris Avsar and his company come in: Avsar Test Engineering GmbH has been successfully detecting software errors since 2017.
Baris, who benefits from your idea?
Our team of seven focuses on test automation: our test robots take over boring routine tasks, search for sources of error and thus almost automatically halve process costs. The customer's specialists can concentrate on their core competencies again and develop new software ideas. In this way, we help to drive the digital transformation forward and at the same time ensure greater quality assurance in companies. As web developers, we also support the development and expansion of cloud-based automation platforms. We mainly work for companies in the insurance and financial sector, but also for many others. To date, we have developed over 2,000 automated test cases and detected over 1,000 program errors! This saves our clients a lot of money, time and hassle. We are usually called in during the early programming phase. Because the earlier we find an error, the better the overall result. In this way, we ensure that errors do not occur for customers in the first place. This not only increases user-friendliness, but also confidence in the product in question.
How did you come up with the idea of starting your own business?
The idea and the big goal of having my own company have always motivated me. After more than seven years of experience in test management, it was time to realize my dream in 2017. Today, we are one of the market leaders in test automation in Hanover.
How did you decide on HALLE 96 as a company location?
My wife and I live in the neighborhood and discovered the hannoverimpuls creative center by chance. HALLE 96 offers creatives from the cultural and creative industries the ideal environment to develop, network and get started in 3,000 square meters of space. We are now tenants with our start-up company and have already moved three times within the building because we need more and more space. There are great synergy effects and a great exchange with other young entrepreneurs here.
What tips do you have for other founders?
Be self-confident and pay attention to the right marketing. Go your own way and don't be put off if others have something to criticize. Just do it and don't lose sight of your goal!

At the beginning, we received funding to rent the office space. And they are really cool! This location attracts young employees.
