The Hannover Region is an attractive business location with a high quality of life. This is primarily reflected in a steadily growing population and workforce.

Despite the current geopolitical challenges and high inflation, the Hannover Region's key economic figures are developing positively. After economically difficult years in 2020/21, an upswing can be seen again: Employment figures are rising and the sectors severely affected by the coronavirus restrictions are increasingly recovering. At the same time, however, unemployment figures and rates are also rising again slightly after a certain easing on the labor market in 2022.

The Hannover Region is broadly positioned in the area of training and studies and occupies a leading position nationwide. Hannover as a business and knowledge location is also characterized by a high willingness to innovate and invest, in the context of which extensive funding is acquired by companies, universities and research institutions. This potential must also be expanded and utilized in the future.
